New Elevator Regulations to Take Effect on May 1, Transparent Maintenance and Charging

The State Administration for Market Regulation has issued the revised Special Equipment Use Management Rules (TSG 08-2026), which will be enforced nationwide starting May 1, 2026, with the old version abolished simultaneously. The new rules target industry pain points and fully standardize elevator maintenance, repair, and fee management.
